On a Planar Dynamical System Arising in the Network Control Theory

We study the structure of attractors in the two-dimensional dynamical system that appears in the network control theory. We provide description of the attracting set and follow changes this set suffers under the changes of positive parameters µ and Θ.

In an early printed book, the presence of a large iconographic apparatus normally reveals a strong effort both in designing its shape and in the financial coverage needed to make it possible. Such effort can be fully explained by paying attention to the scope and target behind its conception. The two volumes of “Ritratti della Prosapia et heroi Moncadi nella Sicilia”, published in 1657 in Valencia, offer a notable example of the political exposure sought after by a noble family, that of Moncada, through the printing press technique and its power of circulation, combined with the attractiveness of family portraits. Com ara, la pintura de Flora (c.1520), pintada per Bartolomeo Veneto, que ha passat a la historia com una indissoluble identificacio de Lucrecia. Els estudis actuals han demostrat que representa un model ideal influit pel context literari probablement relacionat amb Pietro Bembo. L’articolo esamina una testa maschile dall’agorà/ foro di Alesa, analizzando le tracce che ne testimoniano tre fasi di vita, consentendo di cogliere dinamiche e meccanismi della pratica onoraria e dei processi inversi di oblio o cancellazione della memoria. In origine la testa faceva parte con ogni probabilità di una statua augustea togata velato capite; nella sua seconda vita, viene trasformata in un ritratto di giovane principe della prima età costantiniana (probabilmente Licinio II, cui si riferisce anche una dedica alesina); nella fase finale, essa subisce abuso e viene sfregiata negli organi sensoriali. The paper deals with the category of the “statua - rischen Idealporträts”, treating the few specimens until now recognizable within the large corpus of Roman sculptures collected in the city of Gortyn at Crete. A high-quality example of Hadrianic age was found by Prof. Antonino Di Vita, head of the large scale excavations in the site, during the 1988–1990 field season in the area NW of the “Praetorium”, adjoining the Caput aquae of the Roman aqueduct. Beside this spectacular find, two acephalous torsos of the “Diomedes” type are suitable to have been used for portrait statues, most probably for a couple of emperors. Global dynamical behaviors in a physical shallow water system

International audience; The theory of bifurcations of dynamical systems is used to investigate the behavior of travelling wave solutions in an entire family of shallow water wave equations. This family is obtained by a perturbative asymptotic expansion for unidirectional shallow water waves. According to the parameters of the system, this family can lead to different sets of known equations such as Camassa-Holm, Korteweg-de Vries, Degasperis and Procesi and several other dispersive equations of the third order. Maahanmuuttajien määrä Suomessa on kasvanut räjähdysmäisesti sitten 1990-luvun. Muutos väestörakenteessa vaikuttaa myös suomalaisten koulujen arkeen ja opettajien työhön, mutta tutkimusta maahanmuuttajista erityisesti kieliaineiden oppijina on vähän. Tämän tutkimuksen tarkoituksena olikin selvittää millainen maahanmuuttajan kielellinen ympäristö Suomessa on ja erityisesti sitä millainen vaikutus sillä on kielten oppimiseen.
